PowerBall Plus RulesThe difference between PowerBall and PowerBall Plus is that they are separate games, but you can enter them together on the same betslip. You can play PowerBall on its own, but not the other way around. You can only play PowerBall Plus on top of the main game. Ticket sales close at 20:30 SAST on draw days.
Your numbers from the main game are entered into PowerBall Plus, giving you another chance to win. A completely separate draw takes place, with five winning numbers selected from 1 to 50, along with a PowerBall from 1 to 20.
PowerBall Plus has all the same prize divisions as PowerBall. The prize fund is generally smaller because fewer players take part and the cast of entry is lower, but the final payout values are mostly dependent on the number of winners so they can sometimes be higher than for the main draw. The jackpot rolls over if it is not won and has been known to climb higher than R150 million.
