Which States Have Joined the 2025 NASCAR Powerball Playoff?

The NASCAR Powerball Playoff is back for a third year, giving fans the chance to win cash prizes of up to $1 million and other great experiences. Find out which states are taking part in 2025.
What is the NASCAR Powerball Playoff?
The NASCAR Powerball Playoff is a promotion which combines the excitement of motorsport with the chance to become a millionaire. Lottery players in participating jurisdictions must first enter competitions at state level. These all work differently but they often take the form of second-chance drawings.
State lotteries give out their own prizes and whittle down players until a national draw takes place to find 16 semi-finalists from across the U.S., just in time for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR race at Daytona International Speedway in Florida on August 23.This marks the end of the regular NASCAR season.
At this stage, a series of ‘Powerball Playoff’ drawings begin to take place to reduce the number of players left in the running for the top prize. These drawings will happen alongside the elimination rounds of the NASCAR Playoffs, with those who are knocked out given consolation prizes starting from $2,500.
By the time of the NASCAR Championship Weekend in Phoenix, from October 31 to November 2, just four players will stay in contention. These finalists will all be given a three-night trip to Phoenix to enjoy the weekend, with a range of VIP experience including hospitality passes, pace car rides and much more.
One player will be selected at random to receive $1 million, with the three runner-ups getting $10,000. Last year, Meagan Lewis from New Orleans in Louisiana was announced as the winner. Mississippi player Stephanie Walker had won $1 million in the inaugural edition in 2023.
Participating States
The states participating in the promotion are Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana (Hoosier), Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Other jurisdictions may choose to join the promotion at a later time.
Even if you miss out on the $1 million or the VIP trip to Phoenix, there are lots of other chances to win at state level. In South Carolina, for example, you have to submit a Powerball ticket that includes Power Play and Double Play into a second-chance drawing. The SC Lottery will pick 35 winners for a Darlington Raceway Experience.
Follow your state lotteries for details of how to enter, and make sure to take part in Powerball drawings every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday night.
