$133.2 Million Powerball Jackpot Won in Colorado
Excitement is growing amongst lottery fans in one corner of Colorado, as three big-money Powerball tickets, including the $133.2 million jackpot-winning entry, were sold for last Saturday’s drawing in one small city. The winners from Grand Junction, which boasts just 60,000 residents, are yet to come forward and players have been urged to check their tickets by lottery officials.
A single ticket holder landed the jackpot in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, matching the winning numbers 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, and Powerball 24. The successful ticket was sold at the Lucky Me convenience store, located on Patterson Road in the city.
In addition to the jackpot, two Grand Junction players won $50,000 and $100,000 on the same night. A Match 4 plus Powerball ticket was sold at the Walmart Fuel Center and a Match 4 plus Powerball with Power Play was sold at a Safeway store. Other big wins on the night included seven Match 5 winners, who are now $1 million richer. The tickets were sold in the following states: Arkansas, California, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. There were also two Match 5 winners who opted for the Power Play, which increases the prize payout for any non-jackpot prizes, and are now $2 million richer. These tickets were sold in Idaho and Oregon. The total number of prize winners in Saturday’s Powerball drawing was an incredible 628,646.
Following on from this drawing, Colorado has now produced three Powerball jackpot winners, and the $133.2 million jackpot is the largest ever Powerball jackpot banked in the Centennial State.

Whilst the wait is on for the latest jackpot winner to come forward, players can choose their numbers for the next Powerball drawing, which is on Wednesday September 20th, with the jackpot standing at an estimated $40 million.
