What were the jackpot winning numbers? 

The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday October 25th were 18, 22, 29, 54, 57, Powerball 8 and the Power Play was 3x. Only one player managed to match five main numbers correctly plus the Powerball to win the top prize. Two other players matched five numbers, just one number shy of the jackpot, to become $1,000,000 richer. The Match 5 tickets were both sold in Florida. The Louisiana winner has 180 days to claim the jackpot prize and must contact the lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge.

The latest winner will also have to decide whether to choose the full value of the jackpot, paid out over 29 years, or to accept a one-off lump sum. 

How many Powerball jackpot winners are from Louisiana? 

In total, Louisiana has produced 16 Powerball jackpot winners, just behind Pennsylvania, which has had 17 Powerball jackpot winners. Other states that make it into the top ten winning states include Indiana with 39 jackpot winners, followed by Missouri and Minnesota, with 31 and 22 winners respectively. 

The jackpot was last won in Louisiana on May 25th, 2013, by The Williams Trust and amounted to $50 million.
