Powerball Jackpot Will be Second Largest in History
Powerball lottery fans can look forward to another huge jackpot this week, as there were no jackpot winners in last Saturday’s drawing. The top prize has grown to an estimated $650* million and if won, will be the second largest prize in the history of Powerball.
The winning numbers for Saturday August 19th were 17, 19, 39, 43, 68, Powerball 13, and Power Play 4X. Total prize winners for the drawing were 4,754,594 and eight ticket holders Matched 5 main numbers, which means they are $1 million richer. The eight tickets were sold in Florida, California, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. There were also two Match winners from South Carolina and Tennessee who chose the Power Play option and they are now $2 Million richer. The Powerball jackpot has not been this large since the record-breaking draw, when three lucky ticket holders landed $1.586 billion on Wednesday January 13th, 2016. The winners were from Tennessee, California and Florida. They received a total of $528.8 million each before taxes.
Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is an estimated $650 million with a cash value of $411.7 million. Tickets are available for authorized retailers or players can pick their numbers online. Players have been reminded by lottery officials to spare enough time to buy tickets, as participating retailers are expected to be busy on the run up to the draw.
