Wednesday’s Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $430 Million
Lottery fans in the US enjoyed an exciting weekend of gigantic jackpots. Saturday’s Powerball jackpot swelled to an estimated $371.1 million. However, no players managed to match the five main numbers plus the Powerball. Wednesday’s jackpot has now reached an estimated $430 million, following a run of 18 rollovers.
The winning numbers for Saturday August 12th were 20, 24, 26, 35, 49, and Powerball 19. There were a total of 2,135,508 prize winners in this drawing and five tickets worth $1 million each were sold in New York, Texas, Illinois, and California. Players can check their Powerball Numbers online for Saturday’s drawing, by visiting the dedicated page.
Wednesday’s $430 million jackpot is currently the ninth largest prize in the game’s history, and offers a cash value of $273.4 million. If won, it will feature alongside other big Powerball winners such as the Smith family in New Jersey who won $429.6 million on May 7th, 2016, and an Indiana ticket holder who picked up $435.3 million on February 22nd this year.
Although the Powerball jackpot rolled over on Saturday night, the Mega Millions jackpot of $393 million was won by a single ticket, sold in Palos Heights, Illinois. Mega Millions fans can try their luck again with another big jackpot on offer in this Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
Tickets are available from any authorized retailers in participating states or players can pick their numbers online. Remember you can check your numbers after each drawing by using the Number Checker. Good luck!
