The numbers drawn last night were 8, 12, 13, 19, and 27, with Powerball 4. Over 3.57 million prizes were won on a spectacular night for players all over the country, but there were 2 tickets that matched the full winning line. The all-important tickets was sold in Iowa and New York.
When the winners come forward to claim their money, they will have to decide whether to take the full jackpot amount as an annuity over the next 29 years or accept the reduced cash option. The jackpot had rolled over for 21 consecutive draws before it was finally won, leaping up from $477 million last Saturday to $603 million in midweek and then its final colossal figure.

Big Powerball Prizes
The latest win leaves the existing record for the largest Powerball prize of all time well and truly intact. Three ticket holders, from California, Florida and Tennessee, shared a gigantic $1.58 billion back in January 2016. A Mega Millions jackpot earlier this week came close to eclipsing that mark, while Powerball might even have beaten its own record with another couple of rollovers if it had not been won last night.
Mavis Wanczyk from Massachusetts claimed another notable win when she landed a jackpot worth $758 million in August 2017. A patient care worker at Springfield’s Mercy Medical Center, Mavis revealed that she had already quit her job when she came forward to collect her money within days of the draw.
Powerball.net will have news of the latest winner as soon as they decide to come forward, while the jackpot for the next draw will now reset to $40 million.
